The Society of London Theatre (SOLT) is the trade association for the owners and managers of London Theatres.
Most West End theatres are full members of SOLT, and are owned or managed by their Deposit, Full or Organisational Member schemes.
Another tier of membership is for Affiliate Theatres, that are Organisational Members of the SOLT’s sister organisation, the UK Theatre Association, and abide by their union agreements. These Affiliate Theatres are eligible for the Affiliate Award category of the SOLT’s annual Olivier Awards.
Within the Affiliate Member theatres, some have chosen to pay the Performance Levy to SOLT, which allows all of their productions in their main spaces, and some within their other smaller spaces, to be eligible for the main categories of the Olivier Awards. They are not eligible for the Affiliate Award.
