A guide to famous writers and their plays and musicals currently on stage in London.

This collection presents the work of famous writers of the past, and their plays or novels now appearing in London’s West End Theatre.

These shows could be revivals of their acclaimed plays and musicals, or productions that are inspired by the famous writer’s work.e

Famous writers frequently appearing in this collection include luminaries such as Noel Coward, Terence Rattigan, Agatha Christie, Tennessee Williams, Oscar Wilde, and Charles Dickens.

Note: We have not included contemporary playwrights – see our special collection of London Theatre New Work; we have included some contemporary novelists, where their novels have been adapted for the stage.
