What is Amadeus about?
Vienna, 1820. A respected composer makes a shocking confession.
Antonio Salieri has everything — status, success and the certainty that he has earned them. Until he meets Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Brilliant, unpredictable and utterly original, Mozart possesses a talent so extraordinary that Salieri believes it can only be divine — and that God has chosen the wrong man.
As admiration turns to obsession, Salieri begins a dangerous campaign to destroy the genius he cannot rival. Fuelled by some of the greatest music ever written, Amadeus is a gripping and darkly compelling story of ambition, jealousy and the cost of greatness.
