Winners have been announced for the 2025 Olivier Awards, at a glamorous ceremony last night (6 April 2025) at the Royal Albert Hall.

During the awards, all of the shows that were nominated for a Best New Musical or Best Musical Revival Award performed a number, or numbers, from their show, with the exception of Hello, Dolly!

That means that Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet Of 1812; The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button; Fiddler on the Roof; Oliver!; MJ The Musical; Starlight Express; and Why Am I So Single?; all performed in front of the Royal Albert Hall audience.

There was also a special performance from Les Misérables to celebrate its 40th anniversary; and the hosts of the show, Billy Porter (Cabaret) and Beverley Knight (Marie and Rosetta), performed the opening number “Luck Be a Lady” from Guys & Dolls.

Big winners on the night included new drama Giant, which has scored three Olivier Awards including Best New Play; Jordan Fein’s smash-hit production of Fiddler on the Roof, also with three awards including Best Musical Revival; The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button winning Best New Musical; and Titanique scoring two awards, including Best Entertainment or Comedy Play.

The acting gongs have gone to John Lithgow and Elliot Levey for Giant; Lesley Manville for Oedipus; Romola Garai for The Years; John Dagleish for The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button; Imelda Staunton for Hello, Dolly!; Layton Williams for Titanique; and Maimuna Memon for Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet Of 1812.
