Michael Jackson’s unique and unparalleled artistry came to life on stage in London in the brand-new production, MJ The Musical.

Created by Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris) and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Ruined, Sweat), with music by Michael Jackson, this 10-time Tony Award-nominated, smash-hit Broadway transfer played at the Prince Edward Theatre in London until February 2026.

Set during a pivotal moment in time, as Jackson prepared for his acclaimed 1992 Dangerous World Tour, MJ featured over 25 of his greatest hits, including Beat It, I’ll Be There, Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough, Earth Song, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Thriller, Man in the Mirror, and Black or White.

MJ The Musical has a book by two-time Pulitzer Prize winning writer Lynn Nottage (Ruined, Sweat).

The show is directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon OBE, who is a Royal Ballet Associate Artist, and won the Tony Award for Best Choreography of a Musical for MJ on Broadway. His previous directing credits include An American in Paris.

Scenic Design is by Tony Award and two-time Emmy Award winner Derek McLane (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Lighting Design by six-time Tony Award-winner Natasha Katz (Once), Costume Design by Tony Award and Emmy Award winner Paul Tazewell (Hamilton), Sound Design by Tony Award and Olivier Award winning Gareth Owen (Come From Away), Projection Design by two- time Tony Award nominee Peter Nigrini (Dear Evan Hansen), and Hair & Wig Design by two-time Emmy Award nominee Charles LaPointe (The Color Purple). Musical Supervision is by Tony Award nominee David Holcenberg (Matilda The Musical), and the Orchestrations and Arrangements are by David Holcenberg and Tony Award winner Jason Michael Webb (The Color Purple).
