Hailed as ‘Glastonbury for theatre lovers’, Europe’s largest free musical theatre festival West End Live is returning to London on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2024.
The Society of London Theatre, who organise the event with Westminster City Council, have now released the full schedule for the two days of stagey events, plus the line-up of shows taking part in the event – and it’s impressive!
Debbie Jackson, Executive Director of Regeneration, Economy and Planning at Westminster City Council, said in a statement: “We’re thrilled to once again be celebrating West End LIVE in Trafalgar Square for a weekend of top-tier theatrical performances. This free event showcases Westminster City Council’s commitment to making arts and culture accessible to our communities, providing residents and visitors with a unique taste of what the West End has to offer. Theatre productions in the West End attract visitors from all over the world, providing a major boost to Westminster’s local economy, supporting jobs within the creative industries and inspiring the next generation into a career within the performing arts.”

The line-up includes familiar favourites and new shows performing for the first time including The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button; Fangirls; Hadestown; Kathy & Stella Solve A Murder!; Kiss Me, Kate; Mean Girls; MJ The Musical; Mrs Doubtfire; Standing At The Sky’s Edge; Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York); Why Am I So Single? andYour Lie In April.

Presenters at West End Live 2024
The organisers have also started to release the names of the star presenters who will host proceedings at the weekend event.
On Saturday, Mamma Mia! leading lady and West End star Mazz Murray is presenting the show, along with West End leading man Bradley Jaden (Les Miserables).
Presenters for the Sunday are West End stars Cedric Neal (Guys and Dolls) and Zizi Strallen (Mary Poppins).
Also presenting on the day will be Heathers star Hannah Lowther, who will be presenting backstage for TikTok on Saturday 22nd.
West End Live 2024 – Plan of the Area
SOLT has also released a broad plan of Trafalgar Square, with information on the position of the stage and some of the other key areas.
West End Live 2024 Schedule and Timings
The timings of this year’s event are: Saturday 22 June, from 11am to 5pm; and Sunday 23 June, from 12 midday to 5pm in Trafalgar Square in Central London.
