Marianne Calnan-Holland

Marianne Calnan-Holland is Content and Editorial Executive at West End Theatre, and has over 12 years of experience as a journalist and editor. Her work spans both digital and print publications, including Campaign, Which?, and The Grocer.

Marianne’s love for theatre, particularly musical theatre, began early through watching classic movie musicals such as The Sound of Music and Annie. Her first West End show was Oliver!, which she experienced at four-years-old and came with the expectation of seeing plenty of dogs and cats on stage due to only being familiar with Disney’s take on the story, Oliver & Company. This was followed by a steady diet of Christmas pantos, local productions, and West End classics on special occasions.

Recent favourites include Rebecca Frecknall’s revival of Cabaret at The Kit Kat Club, Jesus Christ Superstar at the London Palladium, and The Producers, directed by Tony Award-winner Patrick Marber.
