West End stars Nadim Naaman and Roshani Abbey are among the latest names announced for RepresentAsian: An Evening of Asian Talent, hosted by EastEnders actress Nina Wadia.
West End stars Nadim Naaman (The Phantom of the Opera) and Roshani Abbey (Operation Mincemeat, Hamilton) are among the new names added to the line up for gala concert RepresentAsian.
The one-night-only event will return to the Lyric Theatre on 9 November 2026 and will be hosted by EastEnders actress Nina Wadia.
RepresentAsian celebrates the best of Asian Musical Theatre performers while introducing exciting new emerging talent, as well as raising vital funds for scholarships that help young Asian performers train in the arts. It follows the success of last year’s inaugural West End concert, and comes in partnership with The Boury Academy and is presented in partnership with Dishoom.Â

Naaman and Abbey join an already-announced line-up that includes:
- Soophia Foroughi (Aspects of Love, Prince of Egypt)
- Hiba Elchikhe (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Titanique)
- Zheng Xi Yong (Your Lie in April, American Psycho)
- Mia Kobayashi (Your Lie in April, 42nd Street, A Chorus Line)
Three emerging performers of Asian heritage, Charlie Moscrop, Sameer Dhanjee and Shivaane Subash, will make their West End debuts at the gala. The group are all 2026 graduates of Guildford School of Acting and the Royal Academy of Music.
What is RepresentAsian?
RepresentAsian is returning in 2026 to help champion greater access, diversity and inclusion in musical theatre, bringing established West End names together with rising talent while widening access to professional arts training.
RepresentAsian was founded by Ben Armstrong to champion greater access, diversity and inclusion within musical theatre, bringing established West End leading players together with emerging talent for a single night of celebration.
The programme also includes a RepresentAsian Scholarship awarded to a performer. The first RepresentAsian Scholarship has already been awarded, having been funded by profits from last year’s event.
RepresentAsian in 2025 was staged in collaboration with Tony Award nominee Conrad Ricamora, and continues to champion greater access, diversity and inclusion in musical theatre, bringing established West End names together with rising talent while widening access to professional arts training.
Who is in RepresentAsian’s creative team?
Founder and Casting Director Ben Armstrong and producer Aixa Amarante said they were delighted Nimax invited them back to the Lyric Theatre for this eighth instalment of the gala.
The creative team for RepresentAsian includes Ben Armstrong, who is Founder and Casting Director, with design by Tom Mann for Ghostlight Productions and Alex Kais for House of Kais as Head of Brands and Partnerships. Further creative team members are still to be announced.
