Hilarious comedy Bad Jews returns to the West End for 11-weeks only.
Joshua Harmon’s ‘blisteringly funny’ The Times comedy Bad Jews returns to the West End following two sell-out runs and a national tour.
Directed by Jon Pashley, the play is set in Manhattan and centres on a group of relatives fighting over a treasured family heirloom left by a beloved grandfather.
Bad Jews plays is booking until 25 September 2022 at the Arts Theatre, London.
What is Bad Jews about?
A beloved grandfather has died and a treasured family heirloom with religious significance is up for grabs. But who is most deserving of it? Bossy, overbearing, fanatically religious Daphna? Her wealthy cousin Liam who’s just returned from skiing with his non-Jewish girlfriend Melody? Or Jonah, his brother, who would prefer not to get involved in the fight?
A cramped Manhattan apartment becomes the setting for a viciously hilarious quarrel about family, faith and legacy as the contenders set at each other’s throats on the night after the funeral.
Who is in the cast of Bad Jews?
The cast will feature Charlie Beaven as Jonah, Olivia Le Anderson as Melody, Ashley Margolis as Liam and Rosie Yadid as Daphne, with Danny Becker and Ellie Sager.
Creative team
The original production was directed by Michael Longhurst, designed by Richard Kent, lighting design by Richard Howell and sound design by Adrienne Quartly. This revival of that production will be directed by Jon Pashley.
