Bad Jews revival confirms West End cast for Arts Theatre run

Casting has been announced for Joshua Harmon’s comedy Bad Jews, which returns to the Arts Theatre in London for 11-weeks from 14 July 2022. Book tickets to Bad Jews here

A talented young company will make their West End debuts with Charlie Beaven as Jonah, Olivia Le Anderson as Melody, Ashley Margolis as Liam and Rosie Yadid as Daphne, with Danny Becker and Ellie Sager.

Premiering in New York in 2012, the show transferred to the UK in 2014 where it toured nationally before celebrating two sold-out engagements in London’s West End

The original production was directed by Michael Longhurst, designed by Richard Kent, lighting design by Richard Howell and sound design by Adrienne Quartly. This revival of that production will be directed by Jon Pashley.

The play centres on the death of a beloved grandfather and who is to inherit a treasured family heirloom with religious significance.  Who is the most deserving?  Bossy, overbearing, fanatically religious Daphna? Her wealthy cousin Liam who’s just returned from skiing with his non-Jewish girlfriend Melody? Or Jonah, his brother, who would prefer not to get involved in the fight?

Set in a cramped Manhattan apartment on the night after the funeral what ensues is a viciously hilarious quarrel about family, faith and legacy.

Bad Jews is booking from 14 July 2022 until 25 September 2022 at the Arts Theatre, London.
