Alexandra Burke in Sister Act (10 June – 31 August 2024)

Alexandra Burke will return to the West End in 2024 starring as Delores Van Cartier in Sister Act at the Dominion Theatre (from 15 March to 8 June 2024).

Alexandra Burke rose to fame after winning the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008, and currently stands as one of the most successful winners of the show. Her winning performance of ‘Hallelujah’ alongside Beyonce is still remembered as an all-time highlight across all The X Factor seasons. Alexandra has sold over 5 million records in the UK with her three studio albums spawning the smash hit singles Bad BoysAll Night LongStart Without YouElephant and Broken Heels.

Alexandra Burke has become one of the UK’s most sought-after West End leading ladies since her 2014 theatre debut as Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard. This was followed by Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act in 2016 before a double-whammy in 2018; Roxie Hart in Chicago The Musical while also appearing in Chess at the London Coliseum.

Her most recent role was playing Mrs Blunderbore in Jack and the Beanstalk at the London Palladium at Christmas 2022. Alexandra also recently played the role of The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium, and on tour across the UK. 

A firm favourite across both stage and screen, Alexandra reached the final of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2017. Last year she was crowned ‘Star Baker’ in The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer. Most recently Alexandra was the only woman left standing on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, winning the show. 

Alexandra is writing and recording her eagerly awaited fourth studio album and will make her movie debut later this year in the BFI/BBC film Pretty Red Dress.
