Alexandra Burke rose to fame after winning the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008, and currently stands as one of the most successful winners of the show. Her winning performance of ‘Hallelujah’ alongside Beyonce is still remembered as an all-time highlight across all The X Factor seasons.
Alexandra has sold over 5 million records in the UK with her three studio albums spawning the smash hit singles Bad Boys, All Night Long, Start Without You, Elephant and Broken Heels.
Theatre credits
Alexandra Burke has become one of the UK’s most sought-after West End leading ladies since her 2014 theatre debut as Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard. This was followed by Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act in 2016 and 2024. In 2018 she played Roxie Hart in Chicago The Musical and also appeared in Chess at the London Coliseum.
Other theatre credits include Mrs Blunderbore in Jack and the Beanstalk at the London Palladium and the role of The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium, and on tour across the UK.
A firm favourite across both stage and screen, Alexandra reached the final of BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, was crowned ‘Star Baker’ in The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer and was the only woman left standing on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, winning the show.
