Hallelujah the divine musical comedy Sister Act returns to London in 2020.

Academy® Award winning actress Whoopi Goldberg is back as Deloris Van Cartier with BAFTA award winner Jennifer Saunders in the role of Mother Superior as Sister Act The Musical comes to London in Summer 2021.

Blessed with a heaven-sent mix of comedy and uplifting disco, funk, soul and Motown-inspired tunes, Sister Act The Musical is a sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, sisterhood and music.

Based on the iconic smash-hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg and featuring music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted), prepare for feel-good fun as the Sisters bring their act to the Eventim Apollo.

Sister Act The Musical is booking from 20 July 2021 until 29 August 2021 at the Eventim Apollo.

What’s the Story?

Sister Act tells the hilarious story of Deloris van Cartier, a nightclub singer whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Pursued by the mob, the Witness Protection Progam hide Deloris in the one place she won’t be found – a convent!

Disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.

Who’s in it? Sister Act The Musical Cast

Whoopi Goldberg will star as Deloris Van Cartier alongside Jennifer Saunders in the role of Mother Superior. 

Brenda Edwards will be playing the role of Deloris Van Cartier for Thursday matinee performances.

Creative Team

SISTER ACT features original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Enchanted), lyrics by Glenn Slater, book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner with additional book material by Douglas Carter Beane.

The show is produced in the UK by Jamie Wilson and Whoopi Goldberg.
