The Producers

The Producers

Garrick Theatre

Based on the 1967 film by Mel Brooks, The Producers brings the filmaker’s signature zany satire back to the West End. This major West End revival has proved popular, wowing critics after a highly acclaimed run at the Menier Chocolate Factory.

The hit musical follows down and out producer Max Bialystock, who ropes his mousy accountant Leo Bloom into a scheme when they realise it’s more profitable to make a flop than a smash hit. Their cockamamie idea? to stage the biggest flop Broadway has ever seen.

Crowd-pleasing musical numbers like ‘I Wanna Be a Producer,’ ‘Keep It Gay,’ and ‘Springtime for Hitler’ lend themselves well to an uproariously funny and borderline offensive book, that leaves audiences laughing from start to finish.
