Achieving EGOT status is for a very exclusive club of creative people.

The label of “EGOT winner” or achieving “EGOT status” is bestowed on people who have won all four of the major American performing arts awards: an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award – covering TV, music / audio recording, film and theatre.

Alongside the main EGOT winners, there is also a classification for Non-competitive EGOT winners, who have won one or more awards by being honoured and/or receiving a special award.

West End EGOT Winners

A very elite band of EGOT winners with West End associations includes Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice (Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar), Elton John (The Lion King, The Devil Wears Prada), Alan Menken (Disney’s Hercules), and Pasek and Paul (The Greatest Showman, Come Alive!)
