Punchdrunk and the National Theatre present an extraordinary theatrical experience in The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable at Temple Studios in London.

Award winning theatre company Punchdrunk stage their most ambitious production in  The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable, an epic, extraordinary theatrical  adventure that unfolds across four floors of a vast central London warehouse.

Set amidst the fading glamour of 1960’s LA is Temple Studios, a glorious but crumbling symbol of the Golden Age of the movies. In the studios the rich and famous mix with the poor and hungry for fame as the studio system’s last dying days spits out Hollywood’s rejects, scoundrels and forgotten stars.

The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable is inspired by Georg BĂĽchner’s play Woyzeck to reveal the underbelly of the Hollywood dream where the fantasy world of movies brutally collides with desperate reality.

A wholly unconventional theatrical experience, The Drowned Man is a promenade production where you explore the vast world of the Temple Studios, immersing yourself in the glamour and the darkness across four extraordinary floors of the building.
