Full casting and creatives have been announced for Jamie Lloyd’s forthcoming new production of Sunset Boulevard at the Savoy Theatre in London.
Previously announced was the star of the show, with Nicole Scherzinger set to play fading Hollywood silent movie star Norma Desmond.
And last week it was revealed that Rachel Tucker will guest star as Norma on 12 October 2023 matinee, and all Monday evening performances from 16 October 2023.
Joining them will be Tom Francis (& Juliet) as Joe Gillis, Grace Hodgett Young as Betty Schaefer and David Thaxton (Les Misérables, Come from Away, The Phantom Of The Opera) as Max Von Mayerling.
Completing the cast are Carl Au (Myron / Jones), Georgia Bradshaw (Lisa / Masseur), Hannah Yun Chamberlain (Patsy / Beautician), Tyler Davis (Sheldrake), Kamilla Fernandes (Dorothy / Astrologer), Ahmed Hamad (Artie), Laura Harrison (Catherine / Doctor), Charlotte Jaconelli (Joanna / Masseur), Olivia-Faith Kamau (Nancy / Beautician), Luke Latchman (John / Guard), Emma Lloyd (Mary / Heather / Analyst), Mireia Mambo (Jean / Beautician / Dance Captain), Gregor Milne (Sammy), Kody Mortimer (Finance Man / Frank), Jon Tsouras (Finance Man / Cecil B. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard has music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, a book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton, and is based on the Billy Wilder film
This new production of Sunset Boulevard is opening 30 years after the original production, and runs for a strictly limited 16 weeks at the Savoy Theatre from 21 September 2023 to 6 January 2024.
The show is produced by The Jamie Lloyd Company, the partnership between Ambassador Theatre Group and Artistic Director Jamie Lloyd, and Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals.
Jamie Lloyd’s new revival of Lucy Prebble’s The Effect opened last week at the National Theatre, starring Paapa Essiedu and Taylor Russell.
