Ryan Craig’s powerful family drama The Holy Rosenbergs played at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 27 February to 2 May 2026, directed by Lindsay Posner.

First staged at the National Theatre in 2011, Craig’s timely and provocative play returned in a major revival at the Menier.

The cast included Dan Fredenburgh (Holby City, Bad Girls, An Inspector Calls) as Saul, and Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEnders, Friday Night Dinner, The Merchant of Venice 1936) as Lesley.

The Rosenbergs of Edgware were a family on the brink: father David struggled to keep his catering business afloat, mother Lesley fought to hold the family together, and their daughter Ruth faced public condemnation for investigating war crimes in Gaza. When tragedy struck, the family was thrust into turmoil, forced to confront faith, identity, and the pressures of tradition.
