A major new arena production of Peter Pan is coming to London’s Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith this January 2024.
Peter Pan The Arena Spectacular will star Culture Club’s Boy George as Captain Hook, alongside Real Housewives Of Beverley Hills’ Dorit Kemsley as the Mermaid (Eventim Apollo London performances only), and rising comedy star Jordan Conway as Peter Pan.
Produced by the people behind Elf The Musical, this “supersize spectacle” featuring a cast of 50 promises awe-inspiring special effects, world-class circus performers, dazzling aerial stunts, a giant battle where the audience throw cannon balls at Hook’s ship, and a death-defying escape from a locked water tank by Peter Pan!
All this plus a large troupe of Irish and Highland dancers!
Actor and musician Boy George said in a statement: “I’m really looking forward to playing Captain Hook and showing off my evil side! I make my first entrance on a life size galleon that sails around the stage in front of an amazing water-wall fountain. Although the show has traditional pantomime elements, it is so much more, being a mix of cirque and spectacular event and I get a chance to fight a giant animatronic crocodile. What’s not to like?”
Dorit Kemsley said: “I am so excited to work with George who is a dear friend and god-father to my children Jagger and Phoenix, who will also be in the show as part of Peter Pan’s gang.”
Ahead of London, the arena show will travel to Liverpool, Cardiff, Birmingham, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Nottingham – see tour dates below.
