Santa’s favourite musical is back in London this Christmas
Elf The Musical is the smash-hit Christmas musical based on the beloved film starring Will Ferrell, brought to life onstage in a thrilling and dazzling West End show.
The show stars Simon Lipkin (Guys & Dolls) as Buddy, with Georgina Castle (9 to 5 The Musical) as Jovie, Rebecca Lock (Mary Poppins) as Emily Hobbs, and Tom Chambers (Holby City, Strictly) as Walter Hobbs.
Returning to London for a strictly limited 8-week season at the Dominion Theatre from 14 November 2022 until 7 January 2023, this fabulous new production is the perfect theatre treat this Christmas.
What's the story of Elf The Musical?
Based on the beloved film starring Will Ferrell, ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole.
Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Who is in the cast of Elf The Musical?
The cast is led by Simon Lipkin (Guys & Dolls, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) as Buddy and Georgina Castle (Cinderella, 9 to 5 The Musical) as Jovie.
Rebecca Lock as Emily Hobbs, Tom Chambers as Walter Hobbs, Kim Ismay as Debs, Nicholas Pound as Santa and Dermot Canavan as Store Manager.
Also in the cast are Evonnee Bentley-Holder, Kyle Cox, Jade Davies, Bethan Downing, Francis Foreman, Morgan Gregory, Ryan Jupp, Ellis Linford-Pill, Shane O’Riordan, Theo Reece, Chloe Saunders, Heather Scott-Martin, Jessica Spalis, Michael Tyler, Katie Warsop and Natalie Woods. Dexter Barry, Logan Clark, Alfie Morwood and Frankie Treadaway will alternate the role of Michael.
Who are the creative team of Elf The Musical?
Elf The Musical features a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), with songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer).
The production will feature direction by Philip Wm McKinley, choreography by Liam Steel, original set design and costumes by Olivier Award winner Tim Goodchild, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe and sound by Gareth Owen.
