What's the story of Elf The Musical?
Based on the beloved film starring Will Ferrell, ELF is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole.
Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
Who is in the cast of Elf The Musical?
Elf The Musical stars Matthew Wolfenden as Buddy, Georgina Castle as Jovie, Rebecca Lock as Emily Hobbs, Nicholas Pound as Santa, Kim Ismay as Debs, Dermot Canavan as Store Manager and Tom Chambers as Mr Hobbs.
Ben Lancaster will alternate the role of Buddy at certain scheduled performances.
Also in the cast are Rhys Batten, Evonnee Bentley-Holder, Marie Finlayson, Aimée Fisher, Farirayi Garaba, Alex Given, Morgan Gregory, Samuel John-Humphreys, Keir Hylands, Dominic Lamb, Ellis Linford-Pill, Theo Reece, Chloe Saunders, Heather Scott-Martin, Jessica Spalis, Katie Warsop and Natalie Woods.
The role of Michael will be played by: Jude Farrant, Daniel Lee, Oliver Ravelini and Austin Riley.
Who are the creative team of Elf The Musical?
Elf The Musical features a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), with songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer).
The show is directed by Philip Wm McKinley, with choreography by Liam Steel, original set design and costumes by Olivier Award winner Tim Goodchild, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe, sound by Gareth Owen, video design by Ian William Galloway, and casting by Grindrod Burton Casting.
