What’s New Pussycat?, a brand new musical featuring the iconic songs of the internationally celebrated singer  Sir Tom Jones arrives in London in 2022.

This joyous new musical takes  Henry Fielding’s classic comic novel, The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling  and, using the legendary hit songs of  Sir Tom Jones,  casts it in a fresh and vibrant new light in the swinging 60s .

Featuring classic songs such as; Green, Green Grass of Home, It’s Not Unusual, Leave Your Hat On, Delilah, Mama Told Me Not To Come, Sex Bomb and and What’s New Pussycat?

What’s New Pussycat? is brought to life by an award winning creative team including Tony Award winning writer Joe DiPietro (Memphis The Musical), direction by Luke Sheppard (&Juliet, In The Heights) and choreography by Arlene Phillips (Starlight Express, The Wizard of Oz,  judge on BBC Strictly Come Dancing).

What's the story of What's New Pussycat??

The show tells the story of the fictional character of the same name from Henry Fielding’s 1749 comic novel, The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling. In the show, Fielding’s Tom Jones is now a singer from ’60s London who resembles the iconic pop star.

‘What’s New Pussycat?’ – Casting announced for new Tom Jones musical
Full casting has been announced for the world premiere production of What's New Pussycat? with Dominic Andersen set to lead the cast as Tom Jones. Andersen has appeared in the London theatre productions of Heathers, The Rocky Horror Show and Mamma Mia! He recently portrayed Robin Hood in The Adventures of Marion and has just filmed the lead in Glow and Darkness. Andersen will be joined by Bronté Barbé as Mary Western, Ashley Campbell as Mr Partridge, Julius D’Silva as Lord Allworthy, Rebekah Hinds as The Girl in the Polka Dot Dress, Harry Kershaw as William Blifil, Kelly Price as Lady Bellaston and Melanie Walters as Mrs Western. Melanie Walters (Gavin & Stacey), Ashley Campbell (Company, West End) & Bronté Barbé (Call The Midwife) Tom Francis, Naomi Katiyo, Lemuel Knights, David Mairs-McKenzie, Lisa Mathieson, Fallon Mondlane, Jena Pandya, Nathan Rigg, Owen Saward and Carrie Willis will make up the ensemble. Freely inspired by the novel The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling, this romantic musical comedy reimagines Fielding’s classic tale in London’s swinging sixties and sets the story to the iconic hit music of Sir Tom Jones. What’s New Pussycat? the musical is set to the soundtrack of Sir Tom Jones’ greatest hit songs: Green, Green Grass of Home, It’s Not Unusual, Leave Your Hat On, Delilah, Mama Told Me Not To Come, Sex Bomb and, of course, What’s New Pussycat?  Written by the Tony Award winning Joe DiPietro (Memphis The Musical), with a stellar creative team including director Luke Sheppard and legendary choreographer Dame Arlene Phillips.
