‘Back To The Future’ cast reunite on YouTube

Cast of the new UK musical Back To The Future reunited on Hollywood actor Josh Gad’s YouTube channel for the first time since the show was abruptly cut short in March.

Gad’s Reunited Apart series saw the original cast of The Back To The Future films  – Michael J Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson – reunite to discuss the film.

The cast of the new UK musical contributed a heart-warming rendition of ‘The Power Of Love’ which features in the original smash-hit film the new musical stage adaptation.



 

Directed by Tony Award-winning John Rando (Urinetown, On The Town) the UK production stars Roger Bart (Desperate Housewives, Stepford Wives, The Producers) as ‘Doctor Emmett Brown’, Olly Dobson as ‘Marty McFly’, Hugh Coles as ‘George McFly’, Rosanna Hyland as ‘Lorraine Baines’ and Cedric Neal as ‘Goldie Wilson’.

Back To The Future opened on 20 February 2020 and was mid-way through its 12 week run at Manchester Opera House when all UK theatre’s were closed in March. It is not known if the show will reopen in Manchester or when the London premiere production will now take place.

Gad’s Reunited Apart series kicked off two week’s ago reuniting the cast of Stephen Spielberg’s 1985 adventure comedy film The Goonies.  

The actor, comedian and singer is known for voicing Olaf in the Frozen franchise, playing Elder Arnold Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, and LeFou in the live-action adaptation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

UPDATE 8 September 2020: Back To The Future: The Musical will premiere at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End from 14 May 2021 until 19 December 2021.
