ABOUT Back to the Future
From the producers of Ghost The Musical comes a major new musical adaptation of hit Hollywood movie franchise Back to the Future.
Based on the hugely successful Back to the Future movies starring Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson, this massive new musical will feature the biggest hit songs from the movie including The Power Of Love by Huey Lewis And The News, Johnny B. Goode, Earth Angel and Mr Sandman, plus original songs by Ghost composer Glen Ballard and the movie’s original composer Alan Silvestri.
Back to the Future – The Musical arrives in the West End of London in 2020.
WHAT’S THE STORY?
Wannabe rock star teenager Marty McFly is accidentally sent thirty years back into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean sports car invented by his mad-professor friend, Dr. Emmett Brown.
Once in the past Marty needs to make sure that his parents, who are at high-school, get together in order to save his own existence.

The cast will feature Tony Award winner Roger Bart (The Producers, Desperate Housewives) as Dr Emmett Brown Olly Dobson (Bat Out Of Hell The Musical, Matilda) as Marty McFly, Hugh Coles as ‘George’, Rosanna Hyland as ‘Lorraine’, Cedric Neal as ‘Goldie’.

Written by Bob Gale with new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard, with additional songs from the film including The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode.
Directed by Tony Award-winning director John Rando (Urinetown, On The Town), alongside the multi Tony and Olivier Award-winning design team of Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Hugh Vanstone (lighting), Gareth Owen (sound) and Finn Ross (video), with choreography by Chris Bailey, illusions by Paul Kieve and musical supervision and vocal arrangements by Nick Finlow. Orchestrations will be by Ethan Popp, with dance arrangements by David Chase.
