A new production of West End play Shakespeare in Love will tour the UK later this year.
Lee Hall’s (Billy Elliot) adaptation of the 1998 Oscar-winning film which starred Joseph Fiennes, Gwyneth Paltrow and Judi Dench, premiered to critical acclaim at the Noel Coward Theatre in 2014.
The romantic comedy is a fictitious account of the Bard’s life as he sets out to write the greatest love story of all time, Romeo and Juliet.
The UK tour opens in Bath on 4 October, followed by dates in Nottingham, Malvern, Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh and Chichester with further venues to be announced.
The new production will be directed by Philip Breen with music by Paddy Cunneen.
Casting for the tour is to be confirmed.
