Matthew Perry’s The End of Longing becomes the Playhouse Theatre’s most successful play.
Despite receiving mixed reviews, Perry’s debut play has sold over 62,000 tickets and taken box office receipts in excess of two million pounds.
Perry, who also stars in the dark comedy said “It has been amazing bringing my debut play, to the West End. I have loved spending the last four months in London, and receiving such a warm response from audiences” he added “All of the cast, and I, have enjoyed the laughter and tears from the audience and can’t believe we only have ten days left before its all over! London you’ve been a blast, you’ve not seen the last of me.”
Directed by Lindsay Posner, The End of Longing, also stars Christina Cole (The Magistrate, The Lightening Play), Jennifer Mudge (Into The Woods, Dutchman) and Lloyd Owen (Good People, The Bodyguard).
The End of Longing runs until 14 May 2016 at the Playhouse Theatre.
