The highly anticipated revival of Florian Zeller’s razor-sharp comedy The Truth has announced its complete cast and creative team ahead of previews next month.
Already announced in the all-star cast are Stephen Mangan (Episodes), Ardal O’Hanlon (Father Ted), Sarah Hadland (Miranda) and double Olivier Award-winner Janie Dee (Follies, Hello Dolly!).
They will be joined by understudies Adam Morris (The Rivals) and Roisin Rae (Summerfolk).
Mangan leads the company as Michel, a man who embarks on an affair with his best friend’s wife while attempting to convince himself that honesty is overrated.
The Truth is set to begin performances at the Apollo Theatre on 9 June 2026 for a strictly limited 14-week run.

Florian Zeller’s Award-Winning Play
Translated to English by Christopher Hampton, Florian Zeller’s play first premiered in the West End in 2017 and received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Comedy. The celebrated dramatist has also seen success with other works including The Height of the Storm and The Father.
The Truth features his trademark biting humour as it explores the fragility of trust, the lies we tell the ones we love, and the lies we tell ourselves. Michel – currently embroiled in a secret affair with Alice, the wife of his best friend, Paul – treats lying as a survival skill. But soon, Michel finds his carefully constructed alibis beginning to shatter. Characters lure, dodge, and manipulate one another and as the masks slip and the secrets are stripped away, the audience is left questioning who is really deceiving whom.
The creative team behind The Truth
This exciting revival is directed by Lindsay Posner, who recently received rave reviews for his direction of Equus at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
Rounding out the creative team are set and costume designer Lizzie Clachan, lighting designer Richard Howell, sound designer Adam Cork, assistant director Rosie Tricks, costume supervisor Joanna Coe, props supervisor Lily Mollgaard and production manager Martyn Sands.
