Tony Award winning Broadway musical In The Heights extends London run by 6 months.
Lin-Manuel Miranda’s critically acclaimed musical In The Heights extends run for a third time at the King’s Cross Theatre. Initially booking for a limited 4 weeks, the run-away success of the hip hop musical will take the booking period up to 30 October 2016.
The cast currently features David Bedella (The Rocky Horror Show) as Kevin, Josie Benson (Sweeney Todd) as Camila, Vas Constanti (Flashdance) as Piragua Guy, Jade Ewen (Sugababes) as Vanessa, Lily Frazer (Cats) as Nina, Philippa Stefani (Ghost the Musical) as Daniela, Sam Mackay (Wonder.land) as Usnavi, Antoine Murray-Straughan (Cats) as Graffiti Pete, Sarah Naudi as Carla, Eve Polycarpou (Mother Courage and Her Children) as Abuela, Joe Aaron Reid (Ghost, Broadway) as Benny and Cleve September (professional debut) as Sonny.
The production is conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda with Music and Lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda and a Book by Quiara Alegría Hudes. It is directed by Luke Sheppard with choreography by Drew McOnie, musical supervision by Tom Deering, set design by takis, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Howard Hudson and sound design by Gareth Owen.
The musical returned to London last year following a sell-out UK premiere at Southwark Playhouse in 2014.
In The Heights runs in rep with The Railway Children which has also extended its run until 30 April 2016.
