Finding Neverland Tickets London

The London stage premiere of Broadway musical Finding Neverland is still on the cards according to Take That's Gary Barlow. In an 'Ask Gary' post on on twitter, a fan asked when the show would finally make its West End premiere and whilst Barlow didn't provide specific details he did say it was coming to London. The pop infused musical explores the life of J.M. Barrie and the origin of how he came to write Peter Pan. Barlow and his writing partner Eliot Kennedy wrote the music with the book provided by a young (before he was famous) James Graham. Graham, whose work on the production was commended, has since gone on to become one of the UK's top playwrights with work including Quiz, Ink, This House and the forthcoming new musical with Elton John called Tammy Faye. https://twitter.com/GaryBarlow/status/1455887572329242629 Directed by Diane Paulus (Waitress, Jagged Little Pill), the Broadway production opened to mixed reviews at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in 2015, running for 565 performances and grossing over $54-million dollars. The A-list cast included Matthew Morrison (Glee), Kelsey Grammer (Cheers, Fraiser) and Laura Michelle Kelly (Mary Poppins, Les Miserables). Whilst the West End transfer has long been tipped, the mixed Broadway reviews and connection to disgraced former film producer Harvey Weinstein (the main backer for the original production) might have played a part in the delayed London premiere. Finding Neverland, the pop-infused Broadway musical that explores the life of J.M. Barrie and the origin of how he came to write Peter Pan, will open in London next spring. No announcement on casting or a theatre for the show were made, but producers said details would be revealed next month. Today’s news coincided with the announcement the Broadway production will close in August by which time it will have played 565 performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and grossed over $54 million dollars since opening spring 2015. The original cast included Kelsey Grammer and Matthew Morrison. Alfie Boe and Laura Michelle Kelly currently feature in the Broadway production. Directed by Diane Paulus, the book is written by James Graham with music co-written by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy. Kelsey Grammer to star in West End transfer of Finding Neverland According to the Daily Mail Kelsey Grammer, star of the popular televisions series Fraiser, is to make his West End debut when Gary Barlowe’s Finding Neverland transfers to the West End later this year. Grammer, who is apparently still in negotiations, currently plays the role of Charles Frohman / Captain James Hook in the Broadway production.  Prior to Finding Neverland, Grammer’s last way Broadway role was 5 years ago in La Cage Aux Follies opposite Douglas Hodge. Musical theatre star Alfie Boe is also in negotiations to star in the West End production. Based on the hit film of the same name, Finding Neverland tells the fascinating story of how Peter became Pan. The production which has been running on Broadway for a year, underwent many changes from the original Leicester production and will see further changes to the running-time, writing, orchestration and song placement when it transfers to London.
