Jeff Wayne’s musical version of War of the Worlds at the Dominion Theatre
Bill Kenwright and Jeff Wayne present the West End debut of the multi-award winning music phenomenon The War of the Worlds.
Reimagined for its world stage premiere the iconic score is played live and conducted on stage by Jeff Wayne. The show includes new music composed especially for the West End production, and a full supporting company of performers. In addition to video walls, special effects and in sight and sound Liam Neeson as The Journalist, the iconic Martian Fighting Machine will be brought to spectacular theatrical life for the first time.
War of the Worlds will play a limited season from 8 February 2016 until 30 April 2016 at the Dominion Theatre, London.
Adapted from HG Wells’ legendary novel, The War Of The Worlds tells the story of the invasion of Earth by ruthless, but highly intelligent, Martians who have machinery and weaponry of devastating capabilities and are bent on destroying the human race.
The cast includes David Essex, Jimmy Nail, Daniel Bedingfield, Michael Praed, Madalena Alberto and Heidi Range. Alongside the onscreen appearance of Liam Neeson and the onstage appearance of Jeff Wayne.
