War of the Worlds kicks off in the West End

Jeff Wayne’s musical version of War of the Worlds will make its West End premiere in February 2016.

Produced by Bill Kenwright, the production features Jeff Wayne’s iconic progressive rock score and includes new music, a star cast and a full supporting company of performers as well as video walls, the iconic Martian Fighting Machine and special effects including a 3D holography Liam Neeson as The Journalist. Casting is to be announced soon.

Adapted from HG Wells’ legendary novel, The War Of The Worlds tells the story of the invasion of Earth by ruthless, but highly intelligent, Martians who have machinery and weaponry of devastating capabilities and are bent on destroying the human race.

War of the Worlds will play a limited season from 8 February 2016 until 9 April 2016 at the Dominion Theatre.
