One of the West End’s biggest nights of song is returning to its iconic home, as Magic Radio has confirmed that Magic at the Musicals will return to the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 20 September 2026.

This year’s event marks a major milestone for the concert, celebrating its 10th anniversary in spectacular style. Since its debut a decade ago, the show has become a staple of the London theatrical calendar, bringing together the stars of the West End and touring productions for a one-night-only celebration.

A star-studded line-up at the Royal Albert Hall

Announced today, the tenth-anniversary show will boast a spectacular line-up of musical theatre shows – including long-running blockbusters such as Wicked and The Lion King, and major new shows Sinatra The Musical and Paddington.

Audiences can expect performances from:

  • Paddington The Musical: The recent Olivier Award-winning sensation, now playing at the Savoy Theatre in London.
  • Sinatra The Musical: Making its highly anticipated West End debut this summer, the life and music of the legendary Frank Sinatra.
  • Hadestown: The acclaimed Broadway phenomenon currently taking London by storm.
  • Wicked: The gravity-defying West End hit is also celebrating a big milestone this year – its 20th anniversary in London.
  • The Lion King: Disney’s multi-award-winning masterpiece, famous for its breathtaking puppetry and Elton John’s soul-stirring score.
  • Mamma Mia!: The global smash-hit and ultimate feel-good musical, powered by the timeless hits of ABBA.
  • Moulin Rouge! The Musical: The “Spectacular, Spectacular” ten-time Tony Award winner that brings the decadence of bohemian Paris to London’s theatreland.
  • Touring shows including Jersey Boys, celebrating its landmark 20th anniversary; Everybody’s Talking About Jamie; and The Choir of Man.

Organisers have teased that even more shows will be added to the line-up in the coming weeks.

Host and creative team

The evening will be co-hosted by a stagey duo: Magic Radio presenter, comedian and actress Mel Giedroyc (Starter for Ten), alongside West End legend and Magic Musicals presenter Ruthie Henshall (Cabaret).

As is tradition, the performers will be accompanied by the world-class London Musical Theatre Orchestra (LMTO), all in the beautiful setting of the Royal Albert Hall.

Celebrating a decade of magic

The 2026 edition of Magic at the Musicals promises exclusive “celebratory moments” specifically designed to honour the concert’s ten-year history.

“A decade on from its debut, this much-loved event remains a must-see for musical theatre fans of all ages,” a spokesperson for Magic Radio said. “It’s a celebration of the shows you love, brought to life in one truly magical evening.”
