West End impresario Cameron Mackintosh is celebrating a successful year, with revenues up at his company, Cameron Mackintosh Ltd.
Cameron Mackintosh is one of the world’s most successful producers, with his London shows alone including Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre, Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre, The Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty’s Theatre, and Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre.
Revenues were up by 18% during the last financial year to March 2025 at Cameron Mackintosh Ltd, hitting £234 million, which is more than pre-Covid sales in 2019.
Last year proved a bumper year for Mackintosh, including launching his new production of Oliver! in London, directed by Matthew Bourne, and Les Misérables hitting the major milestone of 40 years in London.
This year will see his production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera also celebrate its 40th birthday.
Cameron Mackintosh is also co-producing the new UK & Ireland tours of epic musical Miss Saigon and family musical Mary Poppins, and both Les Mis and Phantom are currently out on major North America tours.
His co-production of Les Misérables The Arena Spectacular World Tour continues to tour the globe, including forthcoming dates at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Mackintosh also owns Delfont Mackintosh Theatres, the company for his eight West End venues: the Gielgud Theatre; Noel Coward Theatre; Novello Theatre; Prince Edward Theatre; Prince of Wales Theatre; Sondheim Theatre; Victoria Palace Theatre; and Wyndham’s Theatre.
His business also includes musicals licensing company Music Theatre International.
