Ben Platt is heading home for the holidays. The Tony, GRAMMY and Emmy Award-winning performer will bring his powerhouse vocals back to Los Angeles this December for a brand-new concert engagement. Ben Platt: Live at the Ahmanson plays ten performances only from 12 to 21 December 2025.
Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Michael Arden (Parade), the residency marks something of a homecoming for Platt, who launched his stage career on the very same Ahmanson stage in productions of Dead End and Caroline, or Change.
Nearly two decades later, Platt returns as one of the defining musical theatre voices of his generation. At Live at the Ahmanson, he’ll perform a mix of his own music and Broadway favourites, joined each night by a rotating lineup of surprise special guests.
His previous concert residency – Ben Platt: Live at the Palace, which reopened Broadway’s Palace Theatre in 2024 – featured a parade of pop and theatre royalty including Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, Jennifer Hudson and Sam Smith. This time, Platt promises to “up the ante”.

Platt to star in The Last Five Years in London
It was announced today that Platt and Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler (Evita, The Hunger Games, West Side Story) will reunite next spring for a special 25th anniversary concert production of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years at the London Palladium. Could Rachel Zegler be among the surprise guests for Ben Platt: Live at the Ahmanson?
Directed and conducted by Brown himself, the The Last Five Years runs from 24 to 29 March 2026, promising an intimate, reimagined take on his acclaimed two-hander about love, ambition and heartbreak.
Platt and Zegler previously shared the stage at the 2022 Grammy Awards, performing a medley of Stephen Sondheim songs in tribute to the legendary lyricist and composer.
Both Platt and Zegler were also spotted earlier this month in New York at the glittering Broadway opening of Ragtime at Lincoln Center Theater, celebrating director Lear deBessonet’s lush new revival of the classic American musical.
The star-studded event drew a who’s who of theatre and culture, including Hillary Clinton, Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Danielle Brooks, Michael Kors and Anna Wintour. Featuring Joshua Henry, Caissie Levy and Brandon Uranowitz, Ragtime has opened to ecstatic reviews and boasts the largest orchestra currently playing on Broadway.
Zegler, meanwhile, has had a busy few weeks – fresh from her sold-out concert and acclaimed run in Evita , both at the London Palladium, she’s been promoting the new Evita cast album.
The Last Five Years in Concert — London Palladium
The Last Five Years in Concert runs at the London Palladium from 24 to 29 March 2026, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Jason Robert Brown’s modern classic.
The concert will star Ben Platt and Rachel Zegler, directed and conducted by the composer himself, and is expected to be one of the most anticipated musical theatre events of 2026.
