Thelma & Louise: A New Musical comes to the Young Vic in London for a strictly limited run from 3 September to 24 October 2026.

Thirty-five years after the Oscar and Golden Globe-winning film became a cultural landmark, writer Callie Khouri reimagines her iconic road movie for the stage in a thrilling new musical packed with danger, defiance and heart.

Starring Amy Lennox (Cabaret) as Thelma and Rachel Tucker (Wicked) as Louise, with music and lyrics by Grammy-nominated artist Neko Case and direction by Trip Cullman, this bold new production promises a fierce, funny and emotionally charged night at the theatre.

About Thelma & Louise: The Musical

On a whim, Louise invites her best friend Thelma on a spontaneous weekend getaway. But after an ill-fated encounter with a stranger at a roadside honkytonk, their friendship is forged into something dangerous and unbreakable. Propelled by a soaring original score, they set out on a last-chance adventure in a world where every card is stacked against them.

A major new stage adaptation at the Young Vic

Based on the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture written by Callie Khouri, Thelma & Louise: A New Musical has a book by Khouri, music and lyrics by Neko Case, and direction by Trip Cullman. The production is a Young Vic, Sonia Friedman Productions, Blue Spruce Productions, Ley Line Entertainment and Callie Khouri co-production, in association with MGM ON STAGE.
