A new concert of Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World is coming to London to celebrate 30 years of the acclaimed song cycle.
Produced by Lambert Jackson Productions and Positive Sum Productions, Songs for a New World – 30th Anniversary Concert will play the Eventim Apollo Theatre in London on 21 September 2025 at 3pm and 7.30pm.
An all-star Broadway cast will include Primetime Emmy Award-nominee Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Oh, Mary!), Grammy Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Shoshana Bean (Hell’s Kitchen, Mr Saturday Night), Jordan Fisher (Hadestown, Hamilton) and Tony Award-nominee Joy Woods (Gypsy, Six).
Songs for a New World is written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, whose shows include The Last Five Years, Parade, Bridges of Madison County, and premiered Off-Broadway in 1995.
Directed by former Donmar Warehouse artistic director Michael Longhurst (Next to Normal), Jason Robert Brown will return to London to conduct the performances.
Songs for a New World is a moving collection of powerful songs, examining life, love, and the choices that we make.
In London, a concert production of Songs for a New World previously ran at the London Palladium in 2020, directed by Séimà Campbell.
Songs for a New World was also slated to play a limited 5-week run at the Vaudeville Theatre in London in February 2021 starring David Hunter (Waitress, Kinky Boots), Rachel John (Hamilton), Cedric Neal (Hadestown), Rachel Tucker (The Great Gatsby). However, due to the Covid pandemic, the show was postponed.
Last year, Jason Robert Brown played a solo concert at the London Palladium, with guest star Cynthia Erivo.
