Cinema screening: Billy Elliot The Musical

Billy Elliot The Musical comes to cinemas this September as a special performance of the show from the Victoria Palalce Theatre in London is broadcast live to cinemas in the UK and worldwide.

Based on the Oscar-winning movie, the show is directed by Stephen Daldry, with choreography by Peter Darling, and music from Elton John.

A number of celebrity surprises are planned for the live performance on 28 September 2014.

The current cast of the show includes West End leading lady Ruthie Henshall as Billy’s dance teacher, Mrs Wilkinson, alongside Matteo Zecca (11) who became the 37th boy to play the role of Billy Elliot in London. Matteo joins Mitchell Tobin (13), Bradley Perret (12) and Elliott Hanna (11) who rotate in the title role. Deka Walmsley plays Billy’s dad Jackie, Ann Emery is Grandma and Chris Grahamson is Billy’s brother, Tony.
