All this week on ITV, talent show Britain’s Got Talent featured performances from hit West End musicals.
Britain’s Got Talent also revealed the winner of its 2024 TV talent competition (warning: article contains spoilers).
First up on Monday 27 May was Disney’s The Lion King, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year at the Lyceum Theatre in London. The cast of the show performed Circle of Life from the musical.

On Tuesday 28 May was the turn of West End blockbuster Frozen The Musical, featuring the cast including Samantha Barks singing Let It Go from the show, and songs from co-star Laura Dawkes and the cast.

Frozen is now playing it’s last few months at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London, and must end on 8 September 2024.
On Thursday 30 May, former West End musical and current Broadway hit & Juliet performed Katy Perry’s “Roar” from the show, ahead of its forthcoming UK and Ireland tour.

Sunday’s live final of BTG tonight, 2 June 2024, opened with the cast of fabulous Broadway musical A Chorus Line singing “One” from the show.
A Chorus Line is playing at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London from 31 July 2024.

Also tonight, Britain’s Got Talent featured ABBA musical Mamma Mia!, which is celebrating its 25th year in the West End this year.
Performing from the hit West End show are their newest stars – ITV talent show Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream winners Tobias Turley and Stevie Doc, along with Mazz Murray, Kate Graham and Nicola Dawn-Brook. It was recently announced that Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream wont be returning for another series.

Sydnie Christmas crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent
The winner of the 2024 edition of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent was singer Sydnie Christmas, who took home the £250,000 cash prize and a spot on the bill of the 2024 Royal Variety Performance.
Sydnie performed “Over The Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz in the live final, and scored the top prize at the TV talent show, which searches for Britain’s next talented superstar.
This year’s judging panel of Britain’s Got Talent includes Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, and is hosted by Ant and Dec.
