Disappointing production which seemed to move at an uneven pace. Conti appeared to play for laughs and some members of the audience even giggled during the racist rant. Though comic moments break the tension, it’s not a farce. Though the storm is convincing, there is little reaction to the heat which is supposed to fuel the anger. And why did we hear El- trains passing by a window in Manhattan surrounded by skyscrapers ? Some good performances let down by Conti’s slightly amused light sarcasm.
