Jon Robyns is an actor known for his work in musical theatre including the West End productions of Les Miserables, Hamilton, Avenue Q and Miss Saigon.
He is currently playing The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End.
Mostly associated with Les Miserables, he has played the roles of Enjolras (2010), Marius (2009) and in 2020, Jean Valjean. Other West End credits include King George in Hamilton (2019); alternate Huey in Memphis (2015); Jamie in The Last Five Years (2014); Galahad in Spamalot (2012); Princeton/Rod in Avenue Q (2006) and alternate Chris in Miss Saigon (2004).
On tour he has appeared in The Wedding Singer (2017); Sister Act (2016); Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2015); Dessa Rose (2014); Dickens Abridged (2013); Road Show (2011); Dickens Unplugged (2008) and RENT (2004).
On screen he has appeared in the film Nativity Rocks and for television Holby City.
Jon and Christopher J Orton have written new musical Then, Now & Next which premiers at Southwark Playhouse in June.
