Rebecca is the stunning new musical by Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay based on the classic novel by Daphne Du Maurier.

Featuring an orchestra of 18, and directed by acclaimed director Alejandro Bonatto, the show has a new English translation and lyrics by Tony and Oscar winner Christopher Hampton (Sunset Boulevard, Dangerous Liaisons, The Father).

The show stars Richard Carson (Les Miserables, Mamma Mia!), Lauren Jones (Bonnie & Clyde) and Kara Lane (The Addams Family – the Musical Comedy, Mary Poppins).

This gripping thriller, full of intrigue and surprises, features 22 original songs.

Rebecca will run at Charing Cross Theatre from 4 September to 18 November 2023.

What's the story of Rebecca?

Wealthy Maxim De Winter brings his naïve new wife home to his Cornish estate, Manderley, where the manipulative housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers, resents the new wife’s intrusion. She persuades her that she is an unworthy replacement for the first Mrs. De Winter, the glamorous and mysterious Rebecca, who perished in a drowning accident, with tragic results…
