British singer songwriter Joss Stone has talked about her role in new musical The Time Traveller’s Wife.
Multi Grammy Award-winning composers Joss Stone and Dave Stewart from Eurythmics have written the music for the show, with a book by Lauren Gunderson, and additional songs by Nick Finlow (music) and Kait Kerrigan (lyrics). The Time Traveller’s Wife: A New Musical is based on the acclaimed novel by Audrey Niffenegger and the movie screenplay by Bruce Joel Rubin.
The musical opens at Storyhouse in Chester on 30 September, running to 15 October 2022. There are plans for the show to then transfer into the West End, with a venue to be announced soon.
Directed by Bill Buckhurst, the show stars David Hunter (Waitress) as Henry, Joanna Woodward (Pretty Woman) as Clare, Benjamin Purkiss (Zorro The Musical) as Jason/Mark, Hiba Elchikhe (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Charisse and Tim Mahendran (& Juliet ) as Gomez.
David Hunter recently shared a song from in rehearsals on the show.
