Almeida Theatre’s smash hit production
Spring Awakening is rumoured to be coming to London’s West End following its five-star success at the Almeida Theatre. Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold (Ink, Albion) has directed the first London revival of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik‘s (American Psycho: A New Musical, Almeida Theatre and Broadway) acclaimed musical, based on the ground-breaking and once-banned 19th century play by Frank Wedekind.
Winner of the Tony and Olivier awards for best musical, Spring Awakening is a daring exploration of teenage sexual awakening set against a backdrop of religious and parental repression.
