The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In the Heights has extended its critically acclaimed London run at King’s Cross Theatre through to 10 April 2016.
Originally scheduled for a limited four-week engagement, the production has now been extended twice due to popular demand, with the latest extension adding a further three months to its run.
The show made its UK premiere at Southwark Playhouse in 2014 before transferring to its current home. In the Heights is conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda, featuring music and lyrics by Miranda and a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes.
Directed by Luke Sheppard, the creative team includes choreography by Drew McOnie, musical supervision by Tom Deering, set design by takis, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Howard Hudson, and sound design by Gareth Owen.
In The Heights plays in repertory with The Railway Children, which has also extended its run at King’s Cross Theatre until 10 April 2016..
