Book now for The Adeyemis – A Family Saga, a new political family drama by British Nigerian writer Oladipo Agboluaje, receiving its world premiere in the Dorfman Theatre, directed by Lucian Msamati and starring Uzo Aduba.

Three-time Emmy winner Uzo Aduba plays Helen, marking her National Theatre debut, in a production that also marks the National Theatre directing debut of acclaimed actor Lucian Msamati.

Drawing on the richness of Agboluaje’s acclaimed 1997 play Iya-Ile – The First Wife, this new work expands the original story into one epic family drama, following the fortunes of a wealthy but troubled clan through a turbulent period in Nigeria’s recent history.
