A new cast has been announced for Matilda the Musical in the West End. Now in its 15th year, the popular and heartfelt musical remains a staple in the West End.
A new cast is set to join Matilda the Musical, taking over for the current West End cast in September. The newcomers include principal roles Mr. Wormwood, Mrs. Wormwood and Miss Honey. A new group of young performers are also joining the cast to share the title role of Matilda.
The hit musical is adapted from Roald Dahl’s classic book, developed and directed by Matthew Warchus, written by Dennis Kelly and with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. Matilda the Musical will celebrate its 15th birthday in November of this year.

Principal cast announced for Matilda the Musical
The delightful West End musical will see the arrival of several actors in September, taking over principal roles in the production. Here’s who will be joining the cast:
- Mr. Wormwood: Matt Corne (Jersey Boys, We Will Rock You)
- Mrs. Wormwood: Amy Ross (Wicked, Kinky Boots)
- Miss Honey: Lucy St. Louis (Phantom of the Opera, Motown the Musical)
- Matilda: Lola Judd, Scarlett Lindsey and Sachie Sheridan
A new crew of ensemble performers will also join the West End production, including Molly Cleere, Pedr Davies, Will Haswell, Karina Hind, Leyton Holmes, Joshua Lear, Stephanie Lindo, Stephen Murray, Ashley Rowe, and Charlotte-Kate Warren.
Current cast member Jon Robyns will continue in the role of Miss Trunchbull, as will Eve Norris as Miss Honey until 17 January 2027. Lucy St. Louis will begin performances in January 2027.
