Jesus Christ Superstar on Tour

Following the conclusion of its West End engagements at The London Palladium and Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Jesus Christ Superstar will head out on a multi-stop tour across the UK.

Sam Ryder is set to reprise his role as the titular character in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical. Further cast will be announced at a later date.

The tour begins at the Palace Theatre Manchester in February 2027.

What to expect from this award winning production

The rock opera from Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber follows the last days of Christ’s life, told through the eyes of his disillusioned follower Judas Iscariot. Once loyal, he has become frustrated with the growing fame of Jesus, which threatens to overshadow the plight of the helpless they’ve pledged to serve.

This critically acclaimed and Olivier Award-winning production was first seen at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre a decade ago, directed by Timothy Sheader (When We Are Married) with choreography by Drew McOnie (Cats) and design by Tom Scutt (Cabaret).

The creative team reunites for both the current West End revival and the upcoming UK tour.
