A feel-good musical for a new generation
Created by Director Luke Sheppard (& Juliet, Starlight Express) and writer John O’Farrell (Mrs Doubtfire), in collaboration with Sir Bob Geldof, the show stars Craige Els (Doctor Who, Matilda The Musical) as Geldof himself.
Set in the present day, Just For One Day follows a new generation rediscovering the legacy of Live Aid. Featuring an iconic soundtrack including hits by Queen, David Bowie, Elton John, U2, Paul McCartney, The Who, Diana Ross, Bryan Adams, Sade, The Police, and more.

In a decade of neon and noise, one moment made the world stand still and brought 1.5 billion people together – and they all have a story to tell about ‘the day rock ‘n’ roll changed the world’.
On 13 July 1985, two concerts — one in London and one in Philadelphia — made history. Organised by rock legends Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, the event featured 70 artists performing to a worldwide audience, uniting people through music in a way the world had never seen before.
