The cast has been revealed for the return of Secret Cinema’s smash-hit Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical, coming back to London this summer following its sold-out 2025 run. Stephanie Costi and Lucy Penrose reprise their roles as Sandy and Rizzo.

Directed by Matt Costain, the immersive staging invites audiences to step inside the world of the film, exploring iconic locations including the Frosty Palace, the Auto Shop and the Carnival.

The creative team

Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical is brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team led by director Matt Costain. The team includes choreographer Jennifer Weber, set designer Tom Rogers, lighting designer Howard Hudson, sound designer Gareth Fry, video designer Ian William Galloway, and music supervisor, orchestrator and arranger Steve Sidwell, with costume design by Susan Kulkarni and Martina Trottman. Casting is by Grace McInerny for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting.

What to expect

This is Grease as you’ve never experienced it before. Rather than a traditional staging, Secret Cinema’s signature immersive approach drops audiences directly into the world of the film: training with Coach Calhoun, cheering on the T-Birds, taking part in choir practice and even tasting 1950s American diner-style delights.

Back by popular demand for summer 2026, the production features even more themed Roam and Return seating, allowing audiences to explore the experience before returning to dedicated seating at either the Frosty Diner or the Drive-In.

With five-star reviews from its 2025 run (The Sun praised it as “full of unforgettable moment after unforgettable moment”), this is one of the most distinctive and joyful nights out in London this summer.
