The world of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland is set to be turned upside down this December as the Royal Festival Hall on London’s Southbank hosts the European premiere of Cirque Alice.
From the creative minds behind the global hit Circus 1903, producers Simon Painter and Tim Lawson are bringing their reimagined circus spectacular to London for a strictly limited festive London season from 12 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.
More about Cirque Alice tickets at the Royal Festival Hall in London (Tickets on sale Thursday 16 April).
A Wonderland Like Never Before
Following record-breaking, sold-out runs in Australia and Singapore, Cirque Alice promises to breathe new life into the much-loved characters of Alice in Wonderland. The two-hour production combines high-stakes circus artistry with the whimsical narrative of Alice’s adventures.
Audiences can expect a visual feast of aerialists, acrobats, contortionists, and intricate puppetry, all set to a contemporary soundtrack of remixed classical favourites.
Creative Producer Simon Painter said that the tales of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland provide “the perfect backdrop to create a magical narrative about a cirque show”, and that “the original stories have provided such amazing inspiration for this groundbreaking new production.”
The Creative Team
The production features a world-class creative team led by directors Ash Jacks McCready and Kirsty Painter. The show features choreography by Dane Bates, costumes by Angela Aaron, and lighting by Hugo Mercier, with musical arrangements by Martin Raabe-Olsen and Marius Christiansen.
Immersive Seating
In an exciting twist for the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall, on-stage seating will be available, offering fans a unique, “through-the-looking-glass” perspective of the action.
The London season is presented by Roast Productions and Senbla, in association with Lawson and Painter.
