A new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Jesus Christ Superstar is coming to the London Palladium in 2026.
Jesus Christ Superstar will run at the London Palladium from 20 June to 5 September 2026.
Powerhouse singer-songwriter and Eurovision contestant Sam Ryder will make his West End stage debut as Jesus in the production, with further casting to be announced.
The show is helmed by director Timothy Sheader (When We Are Married) and choreographer Drew McOnie (Cats), with design by Tom Scutt (Cabaret), who are all reuniting for the Palladium production following their acclaimed Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production, which has been staged multiple times in London, and toured extensively.
There have been extensive rumours about Sheader’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production returning to London.
Their production of Jesus Christ Superstar previously won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and the 2016 Evening Standard Award for Best Musical.
This Palladium production for 2026 is produced by Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals, presenting the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production by arrangement with LW Entertainment.
