Cats in London

Experience the magic of the Jellicle Ball under the stars as London’s most famous feline musical returns in a brand-new open-air production, directed and choreographed by Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Artistic Director Drew McOnie (Jesus Christ Superstar, Brigadoon).

Based on T. S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats and featuring beloved songs including ‘Jellicle Ball,’ ‘Macavity: The Mystery Cat,’ ‘Old Deuteronomy’ and the global hit ‘Memory’, this new staging promises to be one of London’s most spectacular theatre events of 2026.

This fresh re-imagining of CATS brings Andrew Lloyd Webber’s timeless score to life in a stunning natural setting. Following a limited seven-week London run at Regent’s Park, CATS will embark on a major UK tour through July 2027.

The cast of Cats

The cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical Cats will feature several West End stars, including Gary Wilmot (Anything Goes) as Gus the Theatre Cat, Melanie La Barrie (& Juliet, Hadestown) as Old Deuteronomy, and Rachael Wooding (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) as Grizabella, who sings the show’s iconic showstopper “Memory”.

The principal line-up also features Diante Lodge as Macavity/Admetus and Jet Yau as the magical Mr. Mistoffelees/Quaxo.

Book Cats tickets

This is one summer production you won’t want to miss. Book your tickets to Cats now and experience the magic of the Jellicle Ball under the stars.

The sung-through musical follows a tribe of Jellicle cats who are gathering for the annual Jellicle Ball. Each cat will get to introduce themselves and await the “Jellicle Choice,” where their wise leader decides who gets to be reborn into a new life. From Euston station to Victoria Grove, the strays and rebels of London hope they’ll be the chosen one. And each of them asks, because each of them dares, who will it be?
